Muir Woods

This was on my list from the first time I visited SFO. It is a beautiful place to spend your day, go on a picnic..It was walk in the woods. I loved the smell of the trees and the beauty of the forest. Huge trees full of life.

The website suggested that we either come in early or 2 hours before closing to get parking. So we decided to go in two hours before closing and guess what? No parking. It was so full! We drove to the Muir wood beach near by and played frisbee for a while.

The beach was pretty. One can watch the sunset. We went during a low tide and saw the rocks were covered with sea creatures – The one with the shells. The water was pretty cold but the beach was not that bad.

About just half an hour to closing, we went into the Muir woods. Thankfully we had some light. We just covered the four bridges in the paved road and came back.

It was breath of fresh air.
